The Boerne Education Foundation board of directors has set forth the following criteria for distributing foundation funds:

Campus Disbursements - 50 percent. The grants are distributed equally to each campus on a per capita basis in the fall. The school principals set up a committee made up of teachers and staff to review all grant proposals from their individual campuses. The principal then recommends to the foundation board a list of grants that would be most beneficial to the individual campus.

Permanent Endowment Fund - 25 percent. The fund is designed as an investment in the future in order to ensure the continuation of the board's philanthropic goals.

Teacher Incentive Grants - 25 percent. Teachers apply independently for the Teacher Incentive Grants, which are awarded based on the merit of each request. Special attention is paid to grants that present educational innovation and that benefit the greatest number of students.
